Software defines the world, quality ensures the future. Software plays an important part in our everyday lives because of its near ubiquitous influence in our increasingly technological society. Software testing is one of the major quality assurance methods. To promote advanced software testing techniques, ICST 2019 will host a test competition to provide opportunities for the participants to practice their learned testing techniques to overcome industrial challenges.

Registration:

All interested contestants must register at mooctest.net and join the group “ICST 2019 Test Competition”, during April 1-20, 2019.

Platform & Tools:

Laptops used for this competition must have the following software installed:

• Java JDK 1.8 and Eclipse

• WebIDE from mooctest.net

We will help contestants configure their laptops during the Tutorial session.

Tutorial & Competition:

All contestants must bring their own laptops. The contest has two parts:

• The first part is a 2-hour tutorial (10:00-12:00). We will help contestants properly configure their laptops, and explain how to use JUnit & Mooctest.net platform. Each contestant is required to have basic knowledge about Java programming and JUnit.

• The second part is the competition (14:00-17:00). Each contestant will design test cases in JUnit format based on the given source code and specification to test 2-3 Java programs. The test results will be evaluated by the code coverage and mutation score. The same scores submitted earlier will have a higher ranking.

Certificate and Awards:

The top 10 winners among contestants will get certificates and win cash prize.
